A Transition: The Calandra Report

TCRs, I’ve been covering markets since the mid-1990s.

This report is in its 13th year.

As you know, I fractured my kneecap in a bad fall and have had two surgeries. Doctors say recovery time, if the surgeries succeed, will be several months at the least.

That has me reflecting.

I intend to put the brakes on The Calandra Report. So to speak. I will be reducing the frequency of the reports. (As you know, the reports are now a free service.)

I point out now — as I have been told by veteran investors many times — one can always buy in markets; selling is the challenge. So too with gold?

Gold is benefiting from a multitude of fiscal, geopolitical, economic and popular factors and looks to be gaining rapid favor among individual investors. See: Gold Outlook — A Historian

[Please view the Elton John elegy to gold, released by the World Gold Council: touchedbygold.com. It’s a splendid film that describes the timeless lure of gold’s elegance and utilitarian beauty. It has at last look more than 2 million views on YouTube alone.]

Let’s celebrate gold’s autumn rally. For now.

At some point, sellers will emerge and knock down bullion prices. Be prepared for that and for a positive scenario where gold continues its wave of popularity.

As Gold Newsletter writer and New Orleans Investment Conference organizer Brien Lundin said, In my view, it represents the camel’s nose under the tent for big, generalist money that is currently focused on AI, crypto, tech and other massive, hot-money markets.

Let’s hope so. Because further gains for gold almost surely will aid silver, platinum, copper, zinc and other metals and commodities.

I’ll keep us posted.

20-YEAR SILVER CHART

A 20-year silver chart from our Las Vegas chartist, Al Marden. He calls it a looming “silver explosion.”

“It’s a massive base with fractals (that) says $50 silver is coming.”

The price of an ounce of silver at last look is at $44.45, near its highest point in 14 years.
